SUMMARY AND PURPOSE OF ROLE:
As Site Production Manager, you are the senior production leadership role on shift and a key contributor to overall manufacturing performance.
Reporting into the Operations Manager, you hold end to end accountability for manufacturing operations across both production sites during your working hours, with responsibility for safety, performance , cost and delivery.
This role takes a total site view of the production operation.
You will lead:
- Lead the shift with the bigger operational picture in mind.
- Oversee and optimise manufacturing performance across both sites.
- Remain accountable for shift delivery whilst also identifying
- Operational risks and emerging issues.
- Trends in performance, cost and capability.
- Recovery actions and improvement opportunities.
- Drive engagement, teamwork and alignment across the shift team
The ideal person will be:
- Operationally strong and comfortable on the factory floor.
- Calm under pressure and able to make balanced decisions.
- A strong people leader who can coach, challenge and develop others.
- Commercially aware, especially around labour cost, efficiency and waste.
- Confident working cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Technical and Planning.
- Structured in their approach to performance improvement.
- Able to create consistency across shifts, teams and sites.
- Comfortable owning safety, quality and delivery standards.
- Capable of stepping up and covering broader operational responsibility when needed.
- Someone able of owning the day to day & wanting that accountability , Not someone who is just going to communicate what is happening and expect decisions to be made for them.
